A recent graduate of the University of Chicago, Gabriela Garcia holds an A.B. with honors in Classical Studies and an A.B. in Computer Science.
Currently, she is an Associate in the Early Career Digital Leadership Program at United Airlines. Other technical/vaguely computer-y work includes co-designing the TM Gods database, webmaster-ing for the University of Chicago Scavenger Hunt, and various digital archiving projects, including one of the largest contributions to the Harry Ransom Center’s Theatre 2020 project.
Her plays have been featured at several festivals, including the International Thespian Festival’s Thespian Playworks program, Portland Center Stage’s Visions and Voices showcase, the Oregon State Thespian Festival, the University of Chicago’s New Work Week, and the One-Minute Play Project’s Coronavirus Plays Project. She is published in Dramatics Magazine and by Concord Theatricals. Her writing, including a translation, on more classical matters has also appeared in the Animus Classics Journal.
Gabriela is an Associate Member of the Dramatists Guild.
